Clayton Morgan is a Photographic artist based in Te Waiharakeke, Aotearoa/NZ.

Clayton Morgan’s work traverses the boundaries between documentary and conceptual photography.

Drawing inspiration from the world around him, Morgan explores complex issues, shedding light on the diverse range of societal challenges that shape our world. Morgan navigates the intricate interplay between fact and imagination, crafting thought-provoking imagery that provokes contemplation about past, present and future.

The realm of documentary photography serves as Morgan’s foundation to form connections and narrative. However, Morgan goes beyond the realm of pure documentary. With a keen sense of symbolism and metaphor, Morgan constructs visual allegories that prompt viewers to question and reflect upon the future of society, environment, and the human condition.

Clayton Morgan is based in Te Waiharakeke, Blenheim. He completed a Bachelor of Design with Honours (Photography) at Massey University, Wellington, in 2016 and a Master of Fine Arts at The University of Canterbury in 2019.
